Neighborhood Sustainability and Vitality

All are welcome at the Neighborhood Sustainability and Vitality Committee! NSVC regularly meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. All committee meetings are currently held on Zoom. NSVC is always looking for more neighbors to join our meetings. Please email leah@unionparkdc.org if you are interested in getting involved.

The committee prioritizes community building, quality of life issues, promotes neighborhood inclusion through meetings and events, and provides and exchanges information to ensure a healthy and vibrant neighborhood. Having been formed as a merger of the former Neighborhood Involvement Committee (NIC), and the Environment and Parks Committee (EPC), NSVC identifies community needs within our current parks and explores ideas for future ones, works to secure improvements to our parks, and supports activities within them. The Committee also makes recommendations on the use of funds earned through a cell phone tower lease agreement, for park activities and improvements.
