Live Music and Dance
We're thrilled to have two local St. Paul bands at this year's event: Husband Material and the Urban Hillbilly Quartet! Our stage schedule will commence with a dance from Celtic Junction's O'Shea Irish Dancers from 12:00 to 12:45, followed by Husband Material from 1:00 to 2:15, and finally the Urban Hillbilly Quartet from 2:30 to 4:00.

O'Shea Irish Dance is led by director Cormac O'Se, TCRG, an original cast member of Riverdance and native of Dublin, Ireland. Established in 2005, OID's Minnesota dancers have achieved 16 Regional Solo Championship titles, 7 Regional Ceili Titles, 6 National Solo Championship titles, 3 National Ceili titles, and 8 top-ten placements in the World Championships bringing two World globes home to Minnesota. The instructors at O'Shea Irish Dance teach dancers in preschool through high school and adults of all ages. Located in Saint Paul at the award-winning Celtic Junction Arts Center – Minnesota's Irish culture and heritage center – O’Shea Irish Dance features its dancers in performances throughout the year at special events and venues such as Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Minneapolis Institute of Art and the Saint Paul Hotel.

Husband Material has a trio of piano, guitar, and drums, performing family-friendly music drawing from music traditions along the Mississippi River, Saint Paul to Saint Louis to New Orleans.

The Urban Hillbilly Quartet preforms music that has been influenced by: Midwest powerhouses The Jayhawks and Uncle Tupelo; UK’s The Waterboys; Canada’s Bruce Cockburn; and folk/jazz star David Grisman. UHQ has been compared to R.E.M., The Grateful Dead, and 16 Horsepower.
